Description
The Sinar GermPro 7010 makes measuring the enzymatic activity in germs or embryos of grain kernels and seeds fast and simple. Its accelerated vacuum reactor promotes a reaction that occurs when enzymes, found naturally in grains, come into contact with a tetrazolium salt solution. When a grain capable of sustaining germination comes into contact with the solution a colour change occurs which stains the germ red. By examining the grains it is easy to determine the germinative capacity of the sample.
The GermPro’s portable, rugged construction means that this analysis can be carried out anywhere that grain is tested, in the store, at the dockside or in a grain laboratory. The powerful hand held vacuum pump accelerates the reaction allowing the analysis time to be reduced from hours to minutes compared with traditional testing methods.
